Why We Shouldn't Ignore the Update Notifications

Why We Shouldn’t Ignore the Update Notifications

Here is the reason why we should update our computers right away as we see the update notifications.

Let’s use Microsoft Windows as an example:

  1. Once Microsoft discovered a vulnerability (such as a backdoor) on Windows, the engineers will create a security update patch to fix it. As they release the update package, it starts bothering the users 🙂
  2. Hackers are able to reverse-engineer the security packages and learn the vulnerabilities. Then they scan over the internet and find the possible victims that haven’t installed the security package, yet.
  3. They use the backdoor to access those computers. They can steal the data from that computer or use it to attack others as well. Most of the time there is no way for the victim to find out his/her data has been compromised.

Stay safe and secure!

Absences

Absences

Please call the attendance office as early as possible if your student is not going to be attending school that day. You may leave a message on our voicemail with your student’s name, grade, reason for absence, and your name and telephone number. Your student will also need to bring in an excuse note to the attendance office upon return to school. A hand written note from the parent does not automatically excused the student’s absence(s). With the parent note, it is at the Principal’s discretion to excuse or not excuse the absence.
