Every school day, countless details come together to keep a campus running smoothly. From welcoming families and supporting enrollment to managing resources, technology and day-to-day campus operations, the work of our Operations teams plays an important role in the experience of students, families and staff.

This month, Harmony Public Schools-North Texas is highlighting two members of our Operations Team who help make that work happen across our campuses: Araceli Ortiz, Business Manager at Harmony School of Innovation-Fort Worth and Mary McCormick, Student Recruitment & Retention Specialist at Harmony Science Academy-Garland.

At Harmony School of Innovation-Fort Worth, Araceli Ortiz takes pride in supporting her school community and making sure students, teachers and staff have the resources and assistance they need. As Business Manager, she works behind the scenes to help keep campus operations moving while supporting the people who rely on those systems every day.

This year, Araceli is also focused on strengthening her leadership skills so she can better guide and support her front office and IT teams. Her work reflects the many ways strong campus operations create a foundation for teachers and students to focus on learning.

At Harmony Science Academy-Garland, Mary McCormick is often one of the first people prospective families meet. As a Student Recruitment & Retention Specialist, she focuses on creating a welcoming experience, building relationships with families and helping parents feel confident about becoming part of the Harmony community.

Mary's belief in Harmony's educational mission motivates her to connect students with meaningful opportunities. She is also continuing to build her social media and video skills to strengthen campus outreach and help more families learn about what Harmony has to offer.

Together, Araceli and Mary represent just a few of the many people working behind the scenes across Harmony Public Schools-North Texas. Their roles may look different from campus to campus, but their work shares a common purpose: supporting students, families, staff and the schools they call home.
