Inside HSI-Euless: How Hands-On STEM Drives 5 Consecutive Years of "A" Rating Excellence

When the Texas Education Agency released its 2026 statewide accountability ratings, Harmony School of Innovation-Euless reached a milestone: five consecutive rated years earning an overall "A" grade, alongside a 100 percent sweep of all six available TEA distinction designations. Inside the classrooms at HSI-Euless, that high standard is powered by projects students construct, program, and test with their own hands.

From kindergarten gravity coasters to middle school robotics teams, STEM learning at HSI-Euless functions as the primary engine driving student growth across reading, mathematics, and science.

Building Future-Ready Skills

In the campus Makerspace and technology labs, scholars regularly engage in project-based learning that connects classroom theory to real-world application. Elementary students learn computational logic using visual coding tools, while older scholars design and code autonomous robotics kits.

Extracurricular opportunities extend those concepts further. Through programs like the "Flying Tigers" aerial drone team, students master flight dynamics, spatial reasoning, and real-time troubleshooting in competitive environments.

"Maintaining an 'A' rating for five consecutive rated years is a significant achievement that reflects true consistency in our classrooms," said Harun Karan, Area Superintendent for Harmony Public Schools-North Texas. "It demonstrates that our educators and students do not simply aim to meet state standards; they consistently set them year after year."
