The open enrollment period for new Harmony Public Schools students is approaching fast.
Open Enrollment for campuses statewide begins Nov. 1 and continues through Feb. 10 for students wishing to enroll for the Fall 2019 semester.
What is Harmony?

What comes with a Harmony Public Schools education?
The Harmony Public Schools system is frequently recognized as one of the best school systems in Texas for its well-rounded curriculum with a special emphasis on STEM education.
In 2018, six of districts received ‘A’ ratings from the Texas Education Agency on its annual state accountability ratings. The TEA also found that all of Harmony’s campuses earned a “Met Standard” rating in its 2018 STARR testing.
Harmony also has a 100 percent college acceptance rate system-wide among our graduating seniors.
What is our enrollment process?
Open enrollment for Harmony Public Schools statewide begins Nov. 1 and continues through Feb. 10. Our application and instructions for submission can be found online or at any of our campus offices. In the event the number of qualified applicants exceeds the maximum enrollment at any campus, a lottery is held at the end of February to fairly fill the available openings.

Nutritious meals are available daily for a price of $1.70 for breakfast, $3.00, and $0.50 for an a la carte milk. Each student is provided a lunch account onto which money may be deposited. Households are also encouraged to create an account in School Café (www.schoolcafe.com). From here, parents may apply for free or reduced price meals, check account balances, make meal payments, set-up automatic alerts, and set-up automatic payments. If you need your child’s ID number, please call the school and ask to speak with the Lunch Clerk.
Should a student’s meal account balance fall below $0, he/she will be allowed to charge up to negative (-) $10.00. Once the negative meal account balance limit is reached, the student will receive an alternate meal. If a student is later approved for free meals, they will begin receiving meals immediately. However, the household is still responsible for paying the negative account balance. For more information regarding the meal charge policy. Breakfast is served from 7:30 – 7:55 everyday in the north cafeteria.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer break. We are back at work to welcome all of you to a new school year of learning and growing.
On Tuesday, August 7th, 2018 we will have our student orientation. During this time, students and parents will have the opportunity to complete all necessary paperwork to begin the school year. Students and parents will also have the opportunity to get important documents regarding school procedures, purchase uniforms and sign up for clubs, activities and other after school programs.
Please attend the orientation during your assigned time slot based on your last name.
A thru G 9:00am – 11:30am
H thru O 11:30am- 2:00pm
P thru Z 2:00pm – 5:00pm

Summertime is here, but the learning doesn’t stop! Don’t forget to keep up with your summer assignments in preparation for the 2018-2019 school year. Please click links below to access the summer assignments.
Athletic events that necessitate cheerleaders begin almost immediately with the school year. Use the linked document and its recommendations to improve your try out performance. These are recommendations; not completing these workouts will not disqualify you from tryouts in August. Also in August, HSI Cheer will have a parent and participant informational meeting in the first days of school. To try-out for the 2018-2019 HSI Cheer teams (middle and high school) parent and athlete MUST attend the informational meeting. Have an enjoyable and active summer!
Find summer meals in your community this summer. No cost for kids 18 and younger.
The HSI Cheer team would like to invite current and newly accepted students (grades 2-11) to participate in their summer clinic. Come and learn high school sideline cheers and a routine; improve your jumps and splits to better your skills. All are welcome to participate in this “just-for-fun” camp hosted by the HSI Cheer Team.
June 5th, 6th, and 7th from 9am to 12 pm
Pick up a registration packet at the HSI front office.
Register by Friday May18th and pay $75 for all three days.
After May 18th the cost is $100 for all three days or $40 per day.
Fees cover clinic expenses and raise funds for cheer expenditures in the 2018-2019 school year.
